Woman sittingGetting Free From Abuse
A Guide for Women with Disabilities

About 'Getting Free from Abuse'

Getting Free from Abuse website was developed by the Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria (DVRCV), with financial support from the Telematics Development Course Fund 2008

The content for Getting Free from Abuse - A guide for women with disabilities was written by Chris Jennings and Mandy McKenzie from DVRC Victoria, Australia in 2008.

Thankyou to the Telematics Course Development Fund for partnering with DVRC and investing in the development of products that will positively contribute to raising awareness of the family violence experienced by women with disabilities.

The guide is based on information gathered from interviewing women with disabilities about their personal experiences of surviving violence. We gratefully acknowledge the generosity with which these women shared their experience and wisdom.
