If you are in a relationship, you must be treated with respect, which means your boyfriend or girlfriend:

tick is willing to compromise
tick lets you feel comfortable being yourself

tick tries to resolve conflict by talking honestly
tick enables you to feel safe being with them
tick respects your feelings, your opinions and your friends
